The Challenge
The Points Party was already a successful Discord community of travel enthusiasts discussing credit card points, airline miles, and travel hacking strategies. But they had zero web presence—just a basic landing page. To grow beyond their existing community and build a sustainable media business, they needed a content-rich website that would rank in search for competitive travel keywords, establish authority through high-quality guides and comparisons, and create multiple revenue streams through affiliate partnerships. They needed a cohesive brand identity, sophisticated content management to scale publishing, and technical SEO that would give them visibility for the travel points niche.
Our Solution
We started by designing a comprehensive brand identity including logo, color palette, and typography that feels premium and trustworthy—important for a financial comparison site. The website itself was built with React for performance and Strapi CMS as the content backbone, allowing the team to write and publish articles without touching code. We created a dynamic credit card comparison engine that pulls real-time data via API, displaying current APRs, rewards rates, and affiliate partnerships with automatic updates. The site architecture was built for search visibility: comprehensive guides on specific credit cards, destination-based travel content, and category comparison pages all optimized for SEO with schema markup. We implemented technical SEO best practices including site speed optimization, mobile-first design, and structured data. The email newsletter system lets them build a direct audience for future content and offers.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you build a dynamic comparison engine that stays current with changing card offers?
We integrate with credit card data APIs that provide real-time APRs, rewards rates, and benefits. The comparison engine queries this data and presents it alongside our editorial analysis. This hybrid approach keeps data current while allowing our team to provide context and recommendations.
What's the SEO strategy for a competitive niche like travel and credit cards?
We focus on authority content targeting informational keywords (guides, how-tos) alongside commercial keywords (comparisons, which card). We build internal linking networks connecting related content, implement schema markup for rich snippets, and create comprehensive guides that rank for high-volume terms.
How does affiliate revenue work with credit card comparisons?
When users click through from our comparison guides to apply for cards, the card issuer pays us a commission. We disclose these relationships clearly and recommend cards based on genuine value, not commission rates. This builds trust and drives sustainable affiliate revenue.
